Brandyn is widely acclaimed as one of the country’s most authentic vintage entertainers. He has notably appeared on the BBC’s Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days, and numerous BBC radio programmes, re-enacting one of the greatest crooners of the period – Al Bowlly.
Saturday Night sees the return of the 617 Salute Ball, Brandyn will be leading ‘His Radio Rhythm Makers’ dance band at St. Hugh’s School Hall.
Paying tribute to the Dambuster squadron and all those brave men and women of the RAF, and transporting you back to a time when dance halls would be filled with hits by Roy Fox, Lew Stone, Henry Hall, Harry Roy and many more. Experience the dance band days, with vocal tributes to Al Bowlly, Val Rosing, J. Pat O’Malley, Sam Browne and even the novelty vocals of Harry Roy. Watch out for a few cheeky numbers along the way and get your dancing shoes on!
N.B. Wartime Rations Apply!
Please bring your own food and drink. There will also be a charity raffle organised by Pat and Ray Darby.
