Being updated for Festival 2019

One of the very best things about our Festival is how many people make a huge effort to get involved. With so many people dressing up in their forties finest, and all the shops decorating their windows with a WWII theme you could easily feel like you are in 1946. We want to reward that effort, so take a look at how you could take home a prize. Good luck!

Best Dressed

* Best Dressed Man

* Best Dressed Woman

* Best Dressed Boy

* Best Dressed Girl

The judges are looking for significant effort and enthusiasm – authenticity is great but we want to reward those who have really got into the spirit of the Festival.

Best Festival Photo

The Festival weekend is a photographer’s dream! With all the outfits, bunting, vehicles and the backdrop of our lovely village there are tonnes of photo opportunities. The winning photo for this competition must have been taken during the weekend and clearly feature a Woodhall landmark, but apart from that, it is totally up to you what you chose as your subject. To get in the running simply share your own best photo to our Facebook account, Flickr page or tag us on Instagram. We’ll then choose the best photo of the weekend and let you know if you’ve won. We’ll then share your photo on our own social media accounts and our website. And of course, you’ll win a Best Photo 2017 certificate. Get snapping!

Best Vehicles, Re-enactors and Businesses

Our volunteer judges will also be on a reconnaissance mission to find 2017’s other prize winners. They’ll tour the village on Saturday to identify the:
